Influencing Women Land Rights in Kotido District (IWLR)

The project “Influencing women Land Rights in North Division” focuses on improving fair and non discriminatory decision making processes and resource allocation within traditional structures to increase women participation and building their capacity to enable them claim their rights through awareness creation and advocacy to empower women and men to equally participate in decision making. DKA also seeks to address their land issues as an organized entity, by supporting communities to form 1 Communal Land Association. This is not only to ensure the first step towards protection of communal land but specifically to promote the recognition of women participation in communal decision making related to land from a formal standpoint.
