The Justice and Peace Department of Kotido (JPD-K) is one of the 7 Social Service Departments of the Kotido Catholic Diocese, created in 2014 and located in the extreme Northeast of Uganda. JPD-K works in the sectors of peacebuilding, conflict transformation environmental and land management. The JPD-K works on issues affecting Diocesan territories. These comprise the Districts of Abim, Kotido, Kaabong and Karenga. The Department also engages in cross-border interventions with neighbouring sub-regions (e.g. Acholi) and countries (e.g. Turkana in Kenya and Kapoeta in South Sudan).
